The latest release on the EFSPACM label poses these questions: at what point does sound become music? What are the boundaries between acoustic phenomena and consciously organized musical form?
In the “Between Sound and Music” project 12 EFSPACM artists explore those boundaries and the spaces they create. Spaces between harmony and disharmony, consonance and dissonance, documentation and creation, silence, noise and sound.
With contributions by Adalbert van den Bosch, pszren, RDKPL, Kusto, alfa00 & Nimbostrata, Wilfried Hanrath, rikardfvs, Kungstrep Birkovod, Sonvol, {AN} EeL, Hans Castrup and Wojciech Czeronko, it turned out to be a big, wonderful & fascinating compilation – expertedly curated by Justyna Kusto – and there are 2 fantastic remixes of the whole album by Wilfriend Hanrath on it too.
