This album was made in just one day (!) to be released on May, 1 2020 (on the occasion of the BANDCAMP waiving their fee) by {AN} Eel (Neal D retke) who mixed and paired sound material supplied by several artists.
Passive Cable Theory also donated some sounds. This album belies it very quick conception because it sounds really thoughtful and well executed, great stuff!

It was created as a special album in light of the BANDCAMP waiving of their fees to support artists ( THANK YOU BANDCAMP ) ~ While it is set to free, a token offering would not be unappreciated. I also want to thank the artists listed below – It takes a commitment to allow your sounds to be subjected to the EeL juice, which is what I’ve done here – While the individual sounds may have been created at any point in the last 3,000 years, the end product was conceived & spun today.
This album is a testament to the powers of creative collaboration and a sense of spontaneous freedom that exemplifies what the arts & music can mean, and does mean to me – I Appreciate your attention, but most of all I appreciate the artists for trusting me with their sounds – So, thank you
The Title comes from two things – One being, of course, Brian Abbot’s epic ( Track 6 if you’re counting ) but the BALMY Part refers to the healing balm that is music – I Honestly believe that music & art have the powers to heal – Maybe that sounds corny or simplistic, but it’s plainly stated & sincere on my part – I Hope you have art & sounds in your life that give you some healing vibes. – Thanks again
